Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers on submitting, review, publication, registration and travel.
Submitting
What can I submit?
You can submit a full research paper (6–12 pages), an extended abstract (2–4 pages) or an A1 portrait poster. Each is submitted under one of the five conference tracks.
What must the abstract contain?
It should be 250–300 words and clearly state the objective, method, findings and implications, with 4–6 keywords. Author names and affiliations go in CMT, not in the abstract body.
When do I upload the full paper?
After your abstract is accepted. Upload it as a PDF plus your source file (.docx, or a .zip of your LaTeX files), prepared in the Springer Nature proceedings template and named with your Paper ID.
Which template do I use?
Every track (engineering, law, management and liberal arts) uses the Springer Nature proceedings format. Download the Word template or the LaTeX package from the Author Guidelines page. If you have already written your paper in another format, move it into the template and convert your references to Springer's numbered style.
When exactly do deadlines close?
All deadlines close at 23:59 IST on the date shown. The current dates are tentative; the Timeline page always has the latest.
My work spans several disciplines. Which track should I choose?
Choose the track closest to your work. Interdisciplinary papers are especially welcome, and the Interdisciplinary Research, Health, and Sustainable Futures track exists for research that crosses fields.
Review & Integrity
How are papers reviewed?
After an editorial check for scope, format and similarity, each paper goes through double-blind review by at least two experts. You then receive a decision by email: accept, minor or major revision, or reject.
What similarity score is acceptable?
The similarity index must be below 10%, excluding references.
Can I use generative AI tools?
Yes, to help you communicate your research, under Springer Nature’s AI Editorial Policy. You must verify all AI-generated content for accuracy, references, plagiarism and copyright, and document any use of AI in the manuscript. AI-written content reproduced without human verification, and deepfake or photorealistic AI-generated images, audio or video resembling real persons, objects, places, entities or events, are not permitted. Undisclosed use may lead to rejection or withdrawal of the paper.
Publication & Awards
Where can accepted papers be published?
Accepted and presented papers are considered for a Springer Nature journal, the Journal of Business, Ethics and Society, and the conference proceedings. Each venue has its own review, so publication is not guaranteed.
What awards are there?
10 awards in total, with a prize pool of up to ₹20,000: 5 Best Paper Awards and 5 Best Poster Awards.
Registration & Travel
Who needs to register?
All presenting authors and attendees. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present for the paper to be published.
Is there a registration fee?
There is currently no registration fee. Create a portal account with the email you used on CMT, then enrol in the conference from the Conference page.
How do I reach the campus?
BMU is on NH-48 in Sidhrawali, Gurugram, about an hour from Delhi and approximately 50 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Venue & Travel page has more detail.
