Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use the STELMAR website and portal, or take part in the conference.
About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or the STELMAR portal, or take part in STELMAR 2027, which is organised by BML Munjal University (BMU) (“we”). By using them, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the portal.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
Your account
- You must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Give accurate information about who you are and your affiliation, and keep it up to date.
- Keep one account per person. If you use both Google and a password with the same email, they’re treated as one account.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.
Connect and open positions
Connect helps researchers find each other. The people and positions you see are based on the information their owners provide and on matching keywords. We don’t verify qualifications, or check or endorse any person, position or collaboration.
If you post an open position, you confirm that:
- It’s a genuine opportunity that you’re able to offer, and you’ll close it when it’s no longer available.
- You’re responsible for its description, for selecting people, and for any arrangement that follows.
We’re not an employer, recruiter or party to any arrangement made through the portal. You’re responsible for checking the details of any opportunity or collaboration before you rely on it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass or mislead anyone, impersonate someone, or misrepresent your affiliation or qualifications.
- Use email addresses from the portal for bulk messages, marketing, or anything other than genuine research contact.
- Copy or collect data about other users in bulk, including by scraping or automated tools.
- Post anything unlawful, discriminatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Try to get around security or access limits, reach other people’s accounts, interfere with the service, or misuse organiser tools.
Paper submissions
Papers are submitted and reviewed on Microsoft CMT, a separate service with its own terms. By submitting, you confirm that your work is original, is not under review elsewhere, and follows the author guidelines, including the disclosure of any AI tools used.
Plagiarism, duplicate submission or data fabrication may lead to rejection or withdrawal of the paper. Acceptance to present doesn’t guarantee publication: each publication venue applies its own review, and at least one author must register and present for a paper to be published.
Registration
You register by creating a portal account and enrolling in the conference; an organiser confirms each enrolment. There is currently no registration fee. Students should carry a valid student ID to the registration desk. See Registrations for current details.
Attendance passes
Your attendance pass is personal to you, so don’t share it or let anyone else use it. Organisers record attendance and items such as conference kits against your pass, and they can replace a pass that has been shared or lost, which stops the old one working.
A pass isn’t by itself proof that you’re registered or have paid. Organisers may ask for ID or registration details, and may refuse entry where these can’t be confirmed or someone’s conduct puts others at risk.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you add to the portal, such as your profile, picture and position descriptions. You give us permission to store it and show it to portal users as described in our Privacy Policy, for as long as it’s needed to provide the service. You confirm you have the right to share it.
Our content
The website’s text, design, logos and other materials belong to us or our licensors. You may view them and share conference information for non-commercial purposes, but you need our written permission for any other use.
Other services
The site links to or relies on services we don’t control, including Microsoft CMT, Google sign-in, Google Maps and Google Scholar. Their own terms apply, and we’re not responsible for their content or availability.
Changes to the conference
Dates marked tentative, the programme, speakers and venue details may change. The Timeline page always shows the latest schedule.
Suspending or closing accounts
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or it’s needed to protect people or the service. You can stop using the portal at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by writing to scholars.conference@bmu.edu.in. Some records may be kept as our Privacy Policy describes.
Availability and liability
We provide the website and portal “as is”, and we try to keep them available and accurate, but we can’t promise they’ll always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from dealings between users, including any position or collaboration arranged through the portal. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or right that can’t be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll also tell you by email or in the portal. Continuing to use the portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
