INTRODUCTION TO CMT

Microsoft CMT is the Conference Management Toolkit, sponsored by Microsoft Research to manage and run academic and scientific peer reviewed conferences. This is a small guide on how to go around using that:

Author Console

When you log in to your Microsoft CMT account (embed a link on the word account going to creating a CMT account), you will be welcomed with a page displaying information about domains and scope of the conference. There's a box labelled 'Create new submission' with a '+' icon, click on that to proceed to submit your paper.

Create new submission

You will see this screen, write in your paper title in the 'Title' tab and do the same for the Abstract section.

Primary Contact

Enter your necessary information like email, name, and organization here. In case of multiple authors, click on the box labeled 'Add' with the '+' icon and add the details, you can also shift the order of your authors using the arrow keys at the right corner under the Country/Region section.

Subject Areas

From the list of our domains you will observe a drop down menu with two checkboxes for each, primary and secondary. Mark in those boxes based on how they align with your research paper.

Files

This is the section where you are supposed to upload your papers, a maximum size of 100 MB is allowed, and only doc, docx or pdf formats are accepted.

PUBLICATION GUIDELINES

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers aligned with the conference theme "Sustainable Systems and Interdisciplinary Innovations for a Resilient Future." All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Accepted papers will be published with "reputed journal", ensuring international recognition and visibility.

Paper Format

  • Length: Full papers up to 5,000 words.
  • File Format: PDF (Word/LaTeX source may be requested for camera-ready).
  • Layout: Single column, A4 page size, 1-inch margins, Times New Roman (12 pt).
  • Sections:
    • Title (bold, centered)
    • Author names & affiliations (camera-ready only; anonymize for review)
    • Abstract (150–250 words, single paragraph)
    • Keywords (3–6 keywords)
    • Main Body (numbered sections and subsections: Introduction, Literature Review/Background, Methodology, Results & Discussion, Conclusion)
    • Acknowledgments (optional)
    • References (numbered, in-text citations as [1], [2], [3] …)

Ethical Guidelines

  • The paper must have a similarity index of <30% including references.
  • All work submitted by you needs to be your own work
  • All the experiments within the research involving human participants must have non negotiable and fully disclosed consent and be mindful of the dignity of the individuals.
  • All authors will be asked for a Camera ready submission of their papers after acceptance.
