Springer Nature templates

STELMAR 2027 papers are published in Springer Nature format. The same proceedings template applies to every track: engineering, law, management and liberal arts. Write your paper in whichever of the two you prefer; both give the same final layout.

Adapting your paper to the template

1. 01

   Pick your template

   Word or LaTeX, whichever you write in. Both give the same Springer layout for every track.

2. 02

   Start from the sample

   Open splnproc2510.docm (enable macros) or samplepaper.tex and write over the sample content. Don't restyle an old document by hand.

3. 03

   Move your content in

   Paste as plain text, then apply the template styles: Title, Author, Abstract, Keywords, Heading 1–2, Caption, Reference.

4. 04

   Convert your references

   Switch from APA or other author–date styles to numbered citations [1] and a numbered reference list in order of first citation.

5. 05

   Check and export

   Confirm 6–12 pages, then save Word papers as .docx (never .docm) and export a PDF.

Springer formatting checklist

• Abstract inside the paper: 150–250 words, followed by the same 4–6 keywords you entered in CMT.
• Only the first two heading levels are numbered (1, 1.1). Lower levels are bold or italic run-in headings.
• Table captions go above the table; figure captions go below the figure.
• Use vector graphics (EPS, PDF, SVG) for diagrams where you can, and at least 300 dpi for photos.
• Add an alt-text description for every figure (the \Description command in LaTeX, or Alt Text in Word).
• End with the Acknowledgments and Disclosure of Interests statements shown in the sample, before the references.
• Remove author names, affiliations, emails and ORCID iDs for review. Restore them in the camera-ready version.
• Document any use of AI in the manuscript, as required by Springer Nature's AI Editorial Policy (see Use of AI below).
• Word users: submit .docx, not .docm. Springer's systems cannot accept files containing macros.

Paper format

Abstract submission

• Abstracts must be 250–300 words and clearly state the objective, method, findings and implications.
• Include 4–6 keywords and select one conference track.
• Submit on Microsoft CMT before the abstract deadline.
• Author names and affiliations are entered in CMT, not in the abstract body.

Full paper submission

• Upload the full paper only after your abstract is accepted.
• Prepare the paper in the Springer Nature proceedings template (Word or LaTeX).
• Submit a .pdf plus your source: the .docx file, or a .zip of your .tex, .bib and figure files. Name files with your Paper ID (e.g. STM27-0142).
• Remove all identifying information from the manuscript for double-blind review.
• Similarity index must be below 10% (excluding references).

Review process

   Editorial check for scope, format and similarity.

2. 02

   Double-blind review

   Each paper is reviewed by at least two experts.

3. 03

   Decision

   Accept, minor/major revision, or reject — sent by email.

4. 04

   Camera-ready

   Upload the final version with reviewer comments addressed.

Presentation guidelines

Ethics & integrity

STELMAR follows recognised publication-ethics standards. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication or undisclosed use of generative AI in writing may lead to rejection or withdrawal of the paper.

• Papers must be original and not under review elsewhere.
• Disclose any use of AI tools in the manuscript, following the Springer Nature AI policy below.
• At least one author must register and present for the paper to be published.

Use of AI

Readers should be able to trust the accuracy and authenticity of content they are basing their research on. AI is safe when it helps you communicate your research. It becomes unsafe without adequate human oversight and accountability.
